I’m a HUGE fan of the Kindle Fire! My children use it fairly regularly to supplement their school work. I am continuously asked what my favorite homeschool type apps are for the Fire! Today I present you with my Top 10 Must Have Homeschool Apps for your Tablet!
Here we go….

9. Starfall Learn to Read
This app brings a lot of the favorite features from the well known Starfall Website right to the tablet. This one is $2.99 on Amazon!
8. U.S. Presidents
Learn about the U.S. presidents – years in office, birthplace, trivia, party, vice presidents and more. Test yourself with Quiz mode. Find presidents by search or index. This App is FREE on Amazon.
7. Duolingo
Learn Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, and English! Totally Free and absolutely worth the time!
6. Interactive Periodic Table of Elements
This starts out as a standard Periodic Table of the Elements, but becomes much more. With a tap of a button the entire chart becomes color-coded to clearly demonstrate how various chemical properties are distributed across all the elements.
Not just the family and metal or non-metal, but state (gas, liquid or solid), electronegativity, radioactivity and more. In addition a slider allows you to see the states and a temperature you select, and even choose a year to see what elements had been discovered at that point in time.
5. Music Sheet Workout
One of the toughest things about playing music is learning to play the notes in a timely manner. Improve your sight-reading skills with this musical workout app for Android. Notes are displayed along a staff–mirroring how they would look on actual sheet music–and your job is to identify them as fast as possible. Use the practice mode to review your lessons, then try your hand at the sight-reading quiz. Enter in the correct multiple-choice answers via touchscreen, then review your scores on the statistics page.
4. Drawing Desk – Draw, Paint, Doodle, Sketch
Drawing Desk is bundled with 4 different drawing modes named as Kids Desk, Doodle Desk, Sketch Desk and Photo Desk, each dedicated to give unique experiences.
3. Speed Anatomy
Think you know a lot about your body? How fast can you point to your liver, gall bladder, or incisor? Do you know the difference between the auricle and the utricle? Speed Anatomy is a fun and addictive game that tests your anatomical knowledge and recall.
2.Stack the States
Stack the States makes learning about the 50 states fun! As you learn state capitals, shapes, geographic locations, flags and more, you can actually touch, move and drop the animated states anywhere on the screen. Carefully build a stack of states that reaches the checkered line to win each level.
